The Council have posted a planning application for the costly GoBoat hire company, including a 57 m pontoon.

Cllr John Sweeney’s handling of the Riverside and preference for a big business from outside the borough as opposed to a small local business suggests that he believes that some people matter and other people don’t.

Kingston Labour believe in growing our grassroots community businesses for the good of our local economy, not doing deals to sell off our precious Riverside space to the highest bidder.

Cllr Sweeney described the swan boats as an “eyesore,” and bragged about the removal.

And will the number of boats increase with any future expansion take into account river traffic and safety?
