Kingston Labour Party
A few weeks ago we raised our concerns over the possibility of complete closure of the Village Surgery, when the practice had its registration removed by the CQC and was taken over temporarily by the Groves practice.
We are deeply disappointed to now hear of the closure of the Surgery. Patients registered with the practice are being told to register with another local GP practice.
With our NHS struggling with capacity due to years of austerity, we remain concerned and will lobby for the building to remain in operation for primary care services for people in New Malden, not sold off.
Many local residents have told us about how they have struggled to access timely primary care services, or get GP appointments. The dispersal of patients could put more pressure on services and on our hard-working NHS staff.
