We are all indebted to the NHS for helping us through the pandemic, but it is clear our recovery requires us to be more resilient and healthier. In line with Labour national policy to focus more on prevention, our manifesto encompasses an often
overlooked aspect of the NHS- 5 steps to wellbeing: Connect with others; Keep learning; Be active; Give to others; Take notice. We will make Kingston the first UK council to put peoples’ wellbeing first. In contrast, the Lib Dems have failed miserably, offering only more high-rise towers, sales of public assets, one of the highest council taxes in the country, a lack of proper consultation and constant infighting. The Kingfisher saga has shown their woeful lack of organisation and planning. A fresh team of Labour councillors will do much better than this.
