A briefing session: Monday 29th January starting at 4.00 p.m. and going on until 7.00 p.m. at Kingston & Surbiton Labour Party Office, 160 London Road, KT2 6QW.

Universal Credits will be rolled out in Kingston this year and Kingston's Jobcentre Plus office will be closed so that those who are unemployed will have to go to Wimbledon. Do you understand how this will impact the unemployed and those without savings? Do you know that Kingston already has at least 200 rough sleepers, 2,000 people in hostels and temporary accommodation because they are homeless, and many more homeless hidden "sofa-surfers"? Find out the likely impact of Universal Credits on homelessness. Hear from a spokesperson from the homeless.

This is an essential briefing for anyonenot just Labour Party members but anyone concerned, but will be of particular interest to anyone involved with welfare policy in Kingston or standing for the Council.
